Job Description
The CCG IT Business Analyst is responsible for methodically investigating, analyzing and documenting business processes and functions, identifying specific business benefits that could be gained from new or enhanced IT services and then creating viable specifications and acceptance criteria for information systems.
In this role you will act as a critical link between the business functions providing the business requirements, and the IT team building the solution and such will collaborate with functional leadership, Project Managers, IT teams and external vendors to ensure projects and enhancements are delivered in a cost effective manner without negatively impacting quality.
Responsibilities
Requirements GatheringIdentify, create and facilitate business process design enhancements and changes ensuring systems provided meet the long-term business strategiesLead structured meetings and use collaborative workshops to gather requirements and uncover expectationsElicit what is behind and underneath stated requirements rather than just collating and organizing requirementsChallenge business stakeholders as to whether an IT solution is pertinent or a change to business process would sufficeFully understand the business vision, needs, drivers for change, current pain points, internal and external factors and suggest solutions and alternativesParticipate in business case development and ensure benefits are achievable and trackable
DesignProduce understandable documentation of the final business requirements and processes maintaining a high professional standardClearly define project requirements using appropriate documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, etc.
)Address application displays, fields, and files as appropriate, and/or the process, rules, data, stakeholders and capabilities of the solutionDetail deliverables and success criteria as well as metrics to measure impact of changes and return on investmentProvide testing scenarios to ensure the quality of the solution is appropriately validated in Development and Quality Assurance
Communication and Demand ManagementPrioritize system functionality based on requirements and utilize a Minimal Viable Product
