There are three quartiles namely Q1, Q2, and Q3.

Q1 is called the lower quartile and Q3, the upper quartile.

25% of the numbers are lower than Q1, 25% are higher than Q3, and the remaining 50% are in the middle between Q1 and Q3.

Q2 is the same as median because it divides the series into two equal sections.
