Stacked Column Chart in Power BI, A stacked column chart is an effective visualization tool that uses bars divided into sub-bars to display multiple variables simultaneously.

Step 1: Load Your Dataset

Start by loading your dataset into Power BI. For this example, we’ll use a dataset containing information about the gender and favorite sports of 20 individuals.

Step 2: Insert the Stacked Column Chart

Click on the Report View icon on the left side of the screen.

Next, under the Visualizations pane on the right, select the Stacked column chart icon.

An empty stacked column chart will appear on the canvas.

Step 3: Populate the Chart

Drag the Sport variable to the X-axis field, the Gender variable to the Y-axis field, and also to the Legend field.

This will create a stacked column chart like the one below:

The x-axis displays individual sports, the y-axis shows the total count of individuals who favor each sport, and the colors represent gender.

Step 4: Customize Your Chart

To change the colors, click the Format visual icon and expand the Columns section.

You can also tweak the x-axis, y-axis, legend, and other settings under the Format visual tab to better suit your needs.
