Job Description:
Summary
The Agribusiness Intelligence (Agri) team at IHS Markit is seeking candidates with advanced technical skills to assist researchers, developers, and data scientists in handling, cleaning, and transforming data within a cloud environment.

Prospects must have strong python and SQL experience and familiarity with AWS cloud computing tools.

Individuals with some knowledge or experience working in agriculture markets in any country are preferred.

Core Responsibilities
Assisting researchers, data scientists, and developers with a wide variety of tasks to further the role of data science in producing actionable insights for researchers within Agri.

Maintenance of existing data science platforms within Agri

Building data science support tools for existing products
Dynamically evaluate model quality, data quality, automatically cleaning and transforming data

QA and maintenance of all associated datasets and pipelines on diverse platforms including the IHS Markit Datalake and the AWS cloud environment

Development
Build new big data modeling tools to support internal research, consulting activity, and new or existing products
Expand existing products and analytics with new data streams and analytical layers

Exploratory Data Analytics
Build novel or functional data interfaces and views for research teams to promote insights for clients
Conduct exploratory data analysis (distributions, cleanliness, statistical tests) on all large Agri datasets.
