Data Analyst, Product Margin & Cost
In this position, you will be a part of a global analysis team that performs product volume, cost and margin big data analysis for global internal stakeholders.
We are looking for an open-minded Data Analyst that likes to focus on concrete activities.
The position is located in Chennai, India.
In This Position You Will Be
Responsible for product volume, cost & margin analysis for global elevator & escalator products
Developing and maintaining a dataset in which relevant data from various sources is merged, parsed and transformed for analytics using a selected Data Science Platform
Developing advanced analytics methods to identify product cost & profitability drivers
Providing analysis reports, presentations, dashboards and analytical insights based on the data to Product Management, Finance, Sourcing, Strategy, R&D and other internal stakeholders
Documenting data sources, data transformations, data models, gaps in data etc.
as requirement documentation and feedback to global data owners for future system implementations & development
We are looking for candidates with
BE / MTech engineering, computer science, physics, MSc statistics, MSc mathematics, or a related field
Experience in SQL and database understanding
Experience in handling and analyzing large sets of data
Experience in data analytics & dashboarding tools, such as Qlik Sense, PowerBI, Tableau or Alteryx
Experience in MS Excel pivot tables & MS PowerPoint
Experience or interest in learning complex product features, structures and characteristics, especially in elevator & escalator industry, or similar
Experience or interest in learning financial management reporting principles, especially related to product costs & profitability
Interest in working in a global, multicultural & agile organization and teams
Good analytical skills, independent and cooperative approach to work
Curious mind and ability to learn fast
Good written and verbal communication & presentation skills in English
Knowledge of data science, programming (C++/Python, R) and machine-learning platforms (e.
g.
TensorFlow) is considered as an advantage
