Primary Responsibilities:

  •  Understanding the business requirements so as to formulate the problems to solve and restrict the slice of data to be explored.
  •  Implement BI reports based on the Business requirements.
  •  Performing cleansing, processing, and validation on the data subject to analyze, in order to ensure its quality.
  •  Ability to perform data transformations, including aggregating and merging.
  •  Performing statistical analysis and experiments to derive business insights.
  •  Partner with the business to consult on the performance of KPIs to help decision-making and find new ways to utilize data to drive business outcomes.
  •  Clearly communicating the findings from the analysis to turn information into something actionable through reports, dashboards, and/or presentations.
  •  Work with data engineers, data scientists, and data collection application engineers. Propose data schema and data flow optimization for reporting performance and enhancement as needed

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adept at the use of BI reporting tools such as Power BI.
  •  Additional exposure to other BI reporting tools such as Grafana would be helpful
  • Basics Knowledge of Python: Libraries like pandas, numpy, and sci-kit-learn are essential for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Understanding statistical tests and tools is crucial.
  •  Familiarity with mean, median, variance, standard deviation, correlation, regression, and hypothesis testing can be fundamental.
  •  Convert descriptive analytics and data activation into actionable insights, joining insights across our mobile and web experiences
  •  Adept at using automation tools in Power BI reporting for alerts, emails and scheduled jobs for dataset refreshes.
  •  Good understanding of DAX queries for creating business metrics
  •  Understanding data modeling, data schemas (normalized, flat, star, snowflake, etc.).
  •  Skilled in data and query optimization, query profiling, and query performance monitoring tools and techniques.
  •  Understanding database operations and optimization for databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, NoSQL and Timeseries database.
