Roles and Responsibilities
Role: Data analyst – Revenue Planning and Management
Responsibilities:
Planning –
• Draft Annual, Monthly, daily, hourly Revenue & other input metric plan for BAU and event days with close coordination / alignment with cross functional teams
• Ensure revenue planning at different segments– Business unit wise, Geography, Season, Purchase recency, purchase sequence, etc
• Coordinate with different teams for obtaining planning inputs in time & ensure plans are aligned / agreed with stakeholders before set timelines
• Develop reporting formats which give a 360-degree view of the health of the business
Revenue Management –
• Support business decisions by – formulating hypothesis, structuring the problem, analyze relevant data to verify hypothesis and prepare documentation to communicate the results with insights
• Monitor key metrics such as revenue per unit, gross margin, conversion, average item price value, customer acquisitions, etc. and take corrective actions
• Data analysis for problem-solving sessions during key events & BAU days and ensure execution of the actions through close coordination with different teams
• Use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports.
• Work with the management team to create a prioritized list of actions for each area of the business
• Conduct analysis within a larger project stream for understanding revenue and other metric trends
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.
• Work experience as a data analyst or in related analytics area for at least 12 months
• Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases (SQL exposure a must)
• High-competency in written and verbal communication skills (preparation of business documentation a must)
• Able to work with others in a fast-paced, team environment and to interact effectively with all levels of management.
• Results oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, can work individually with minimal or no supervision
• Experience with advanced MS Excel, Python or R and SQL a must ; intermediate statistics will be a plus.
