Principal Responsibilities
- Identify and report the thematic risks and issues in the country and facilitate the in-country Risk teams with ad-hoc / deep dive analysis to ensure that the key risks and actions are managed in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Support the execution of Straight Through Processing, Credit Test, Vendor Tool’s Risk evaluation, Referral Rules assessment etc. through thorough data analysis
- Assist the in-country teams to arrive at a tactical solution for using proxies for Sherwood model, where the model doesn’t exists currently.
- Assist in the control and monitoring process to provide early warnings on risks and performance issues.
Requirements
- Experience in Banking industry, preferably in Risk Management teams under Financial Services and Credit Risk related discipline.
- Strong analytical skills, proficient in data analysis using statistical or programming tools – SAS and Microsoft Excel.
- Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Be able to work independently on extracting, summarizing and presenting data and insights.
- Demonstrate a high degree of organization skills and resourcefulness.
- Capability to coordinate and manage on-shore stakeholders.
- This role is part of the Business Consulting job family and would encompass supporting Front-end & Back-end initiatives for several portfolios across different products in the HBAP region.
Responsibilities include
- Providing valuable insights on customer on-boarding & management policies leveraging functional and business knowledge.
- Collaborate with business partners to address potential opportunities and needs for analytical solutions to address underlying Risk.
- Conceptualize and build analytical solutions using statistical techniques (if required) to provide insight into the changing dynamics of acquisitions and account management strategies
- Collaborating with systems, compliance with local & regional regulations for successful deployment of policies in the country
- Ensuring robust documentation of the projects
- Develop understanding of different customer management initiatives and ability to do a portfolio deep dive to identify potential opportunities for growth
- The incumbent would be expected to effectively explain the trends, adding meaningful insights on the back of relevant business knowledge.
- This role requires the incumbent to plan and execute the assigned projects/ analysis as per the agreed timelines and with accuracy and quality. This position also involves project management & stakeholder management responsibility.
- Facilitate R&D on available data to come up with new and enhanced analysis of data; integrate or optimize the use of bureau information in all credit decisions
- Proposing recommendation for optimization of existing policies or identification of process gaps; Knowledge of profitability metrics like RAR, CoRWA and profitability framework like Sherwood would be beneficial for linking ideas to profitability.
